It penetrates instead of forming a film, so it wears thin instead of peeling, and it can be refreshed without stripping. Weathered boards get cleaned and sanded where they need it. Lattice, posts and pickets each get worked individually. Where we spray for coverage we back-brush it in, so the finish is worked into the grain and the gaps between boards aren't left bare.
